TALKING WITH MORE THAN JUST MY FISTS

Philip Joseph "P.J." Stock is a Canadian sports broadcaster and former NHL professional hockey player who has captured the hearts of many. After retiring from the sport in 2004, he hosted a much-loved sports radio show on Montreal station Team 990 (now 690) and later became a regular member of the Hockey Night in Canada broadcast team until 2016. He has been a fan favorite for years (Stock Ass Kicker Crew!) and tours North America meeting his fans and raising funds for numerous charities with his fellow NHL retirees.

In 2018 and 2019, PJ was selected by the Boston Bruins to travel to Beijing, China to act as an ambassador for the sport of hockey because of the rising interest in the sport and its potential growth.  Stock is also a regular panelist on several of RDS’s main properties, TSN radio, Sportsnet and is currently seen on his digital platform, “Stock Talk” and a producer on CBC’s Battle of the Blades. You can also find him embarrassing his 4 kids and enjoying a good scotch after a tough workout.

About

PJ STOCK

EVERYONE’S FAVORITE FRENGLISH CANADIAN AND CAPTAIN OF THE ASS KICKER CREW

It’s good to see you on here. If you were looking for a tall and handsome actor, you're right where you're supposed to be.  Or, if you weren't already impressed by my 5 goals in the NHL over 7 years, read on - you will see that each was a spectacular athletic accomplishment. Jump on in to see what I have been up to and maybe even pick up some gear at the Stock Shop on your way out!

THE PLAYER

5 goals in 7 years, need I say more?

PJ Stock is a retired NHL player who has 7 seasons under his belt. He played for the New York Rangers, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Montreal Canadiens and ended his career as a Boston Bruin in 2004. He scored 5 beautiful goals throughout the duration of his career but more importantly, was in so many entertaining fights that it led  to him becoming the Ass Kicker crew's fearless leader in the city of Boston. A self-proclaimed offensive threat, PJ was a fan favorite in every city he played for except for New York where he might have been overshadowed by his teammate, Wayne Gretzky.

THE ANALYST

I know hockey...better than most, right?

PJ started his career as a radio show host in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. His provocative and self-depreciative style (hello 5 goals in 7 years in the NHL!) style garnered him a role on Canada’s “Hockey Night in Canada” where he wore awesome suits. PJ was a member of the HNIC team for over 10 years and in the midst of that also worked at its French counterpart, RDS, where he still is a regular analyst on a number of its shows. He is also a producer on a top-rated Canadian sports reality TV show called "Battle of the Blades" where he was once a contestant. PJ has his own podcast called Stock Talk and is also often heard on a number of radio shows and digital platforms throughout North America.
